Christopher Brown has served as a policy advisor to two U.S. Presidential campaigns and members of Congress, bringing 20 years of experience as a corporate & public affairs lawyer. He has held executive roles in regulatory and public affairs functions across technology, nonprofit, healthcare, and finance industries. From 2021-2024, Chris was SVP of U.S. Public Affairs at Citigroup, advising on consumer and regulatory risk matters.
He currently advises venture capital firms, corporations, and community institutions, turning regulatory challenges into growth opportunities. With roots in public policy and community development, Chris is committed to driving positive change through successful industry collaborations that have led to dozens of bipartisan policy and regulatory changes and over $2B in investments. He was instrumental in advancing over 50 legislative wins, including key elements of the Affordable Health Care Act and the Wall Street Reform Act.
Chris founded NRG in 2011 to help U.S. firms invest in Panama and Central America, empowering clients to achieve growth and navigate complex public affairs challenges. He has advised various institutions and campaigns, alongside roles at Bird, PolicyLink, Citigroup, and PRC.
Chris graduated from the University of Georgia and received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters, enjoying the outdoors with their dog Stormi, while maintaining strong ties to Atlanta and Washington, DC.
